Layout of magazine pages

I chose to make this blog post in order to reflect upon how the plans of my contents page, front cover and double page spread have been adapted and altered. In this task I can both present my initial plans as well as being able to make the comparison between the plan to my final product.

Since the planning stage a lot has changed throughout my magazine. I have altered the layout slightly and cut out certain features, for example the puff. I believe however that having a plan like these have been really helpful in the design aspect of the product and have been highly beneficial when I am unsure about certain aspects. The contents page has changed as well, for example the images have been placed differently and the articles and page numbers take up much more space than planned. There have been multiples issues I have addressed, however the plan has just been a skeleton for the product and it is easily altered. It was never set in stone and and made as a rough outline to change but give me a rough idea. This task did give me a rough idea of what to create but due to the lack of detail etc i had to add a lot to get it up to the standard that it should be, which would have been easier with a more detailed plan but this still helped and was worth doing.
